Re: Batman: The Caped Crusader
Maybe instead of just comics, we should put in our favorite Batman animated series and animated movie as well. o.o
I haven't seen ALL of them so I can't say I know my favorite, but Batman: The Brave and The Bold was a good one. Made a fan forum for it too. I know y'all are gonna start ranting about how bad it is (believe me, I know how you feel. I threw a crumpled paper containing a wrong calculation of my math homework to the television the night it premiered). BUT there's this ONE element that made me love it, enough to make a fan forum. Like no other show, they include many MANY other DC superheroes and villains, characters that I'm pretty sure no other series would put in and are probably not given enough respect and appreciation. They put them in, and I feel so good about it because there are actually characters that deserve that respect and appreciation yet never got them anywhere else.
So there. What's your favorite Batman animation series and animated movie?

Re: Batman: The Caped Crusader
Well the reason why so many DC characters saw the light of day was because DC was trying to market the characters for action figures, or just get them out there so they could use the character in the next DC movie. It's not the first time this happened, history tells us that it's actually been known to happen. The reason why Transformers got a show in the 80's was because they made the toys first. They needed a way to market it, so TV and comics were the number one way. Plus, kids get two toys in one. A car and an action figure! It was genius.
Anyway, I really enjoy Batman the Animated Series season 3 and 4 more than 1 and 2 because the animation is better and there are more characters involved, like Tim and Babs, not just grown up Dick Grayson as Robin.
I really can't say there is an Animated Batman movie that I don't like. I recently saw Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman and thought the movie was going to blow because it had a bad cover and the trailer was totally not interesting. But I laughed, I cried, chills ran down my spine as I sat the edge of my seat, the movie was intense.
Under the Red Hood was also remarkable, Gotham Knight was mind Blowing, Mask of the Phantasm HAD to be good because it was the only animated Batman film premiered in Theatres, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker was astounding all around, and I have yet to watch Subzero.
If there's one thing for sure; Batman will always be around.

Re: Batman: The Caped Crusader
Under the Red Hood was definitely my current favorite Batman animated movie. It was so cool. No, cool doesn't even define it. o_o
Re: Batman: The Caped Crusader
hmm i havent seen under the red hood yet but i heard good things about it
Re: Batman: The Caped Crusader
You should go watch. :O It's really worth watching. I'm pretty sure YouTube has them.
Re: Batman: The Caped Crusader
yeah i think ill do that now and one thing im glad about is they animated tim drake i dont think they ever did that before... but i could be wrong
Re: Batman: The Caped Crusader
Tim Drake wasn't in Batman: Under the Redhood, and Tim was in Batman The Animated Series, Season 3 & 4.
I think you're talking about Jason Todd.
And don't just watch it on YouTube. I highly recommend you pick it up. There's a difference between just watching it and owning it.

Re: Batman: The Caped Crusader

Re: Batman: The Caped Crusader
Okay all the Robins in order.
Dick Grayson (Grew out of Robin and became Nightwing)
Jason Todd (Died then came back to life as Red Hood)
Tim Drake (After Bruce died he became Batman for a while then turned into Red Robin)
Stephanie Brown (Faked her death and came back as Spoiler, then turned into Batgirl)
Damian Wayne (Turned into Robin when Dick became Batman and is the current Robin in the comics alongside two Batmans.)
Stephanie Brown is the only Robin who hasn't been animated yet.
Yeah Tim was a main character in Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. Dick was more or less a cameo in Batman The Animated Series (Season 3 and 4 as Nightwing) and yes Under the Red Hood was Jason's first time being animated because they couldn't kill off Jason in the animated series. Plus he wasnt that popular amongst fans, which is the reason he died in the first place.

Re: Batman: The Caped Crusader
I don't know much about Stephanie Brown but I want to. o.o Tell me more.
Re: Batman: The Caped Crusader
Okay, here's the deal with Ms. Brown. She's the daughter of criminal loser Cluemaster right? She complete disapproves of her fathers failed attempts at crime and one night decided to spoil one of her fathers crimes. She joined forces with Batman and Robin as Spoiler and eventually the one night stand as a hero developed into a career. She told Robin (Tim Drake) who she was and the two were in love. When she figure out she was pregnant with her ex-boyfriends child Robin helped her give the child up to adoption. This gave Step all the more reason to be in love with someone she doesn't even know who's real name is. When she became a regular, Batman told Steph Robin's real name and this got Tim really upset with him. He took off on his own and Steph replaced Tim as Robin.Rianna Lauren wrote:I don't know much about Stephanie Brown but I want to. o.o Tell me more.
She disobeyed Batman multiple times and he told her to hang up her cape and quit forever. She of course didn't. She got back into Spoiler for a while, borrowed Cassandra Cain's Batgirl suit, found herself working with Barbara Gordon and finally Babs whippe her up a Batgirl suit and works with Barb on missions currently.
