Aaand I don't know much about McCartney other than the fact that they should've picked someone with better voice for Robin. It's ROBIN, dammit! Richard John Dick Grayson! Hmph. >:[
Re: Episode 8: Downtime

Um...my Grammy's a HUGE Beetles Fan (she cried when John Lennon died), I don't personally listen to the Beetles, but I know enough about them to tell you that the one singer you are talking about is Paul McCarteny (and, NO, the two are NOT related).

Rianna Lauren wrote:He didn't do much fight, and I know the show wanted to deliver the Garth-should-get-his-head-in-the-game message, but really, I'm pretty sure he's better than that. Especially he was the one who continued training when Aqualad left.
Well, most of his training is theoretical; he's not actually fighting someone who's trying to kill him. Taken to a more concrete example: a scrimmage in sports (playing against your own teammates for practice) is usually easier than an actual match/game. In the first, you're playing to learn, in the second, you're playing to win.
Also, they wanted it to be a parallel to Aqualad's own struggle with fighting vs. girls. Garth was worried about Tula, and once Aqualad realized how much that was hurting his ability to focus, he made his decision.
Rianna Lauren wrote:And he never EVER became the Aqualad - straight to the Tempest? Geez Earth 16. Y U SO WEIRD.
XD Well, he never actually "became" Tempest. He was actually calling his attack. It was a reference, yes, but not him becoming a superhero.
Rianna Lauren wrote:ROBIN WITHOUT GLASSES! THANK YOU! And his moments with Bruce were absolutely lovely. My favorite of the episode's little bits.
I practically screamed when I saw him without the glasses. I was ECSTATIC.
Rianna Lauren wrote:Batman taking down Clayface at the begining - WHOO.
Aqualad should have been able to do that. He's already shown in previous fight sequences that he's capable of electrocuting people with his... um... power-generated weapons, I guess they are. Maybe he didn't because he wasn't paying enough attention, and that's how Batman knew he needed to speak with him?
That aside, agreed. Freaking awesome.
Rianna Lauren wrote:BLACK MANTA. Yesh. I was hoping to start to see the Aqualad-is-Black-Manta's-son hint from here, but meh, I guess we'll have more later.
Weeeell, if you remember, Black Manta did say that Aqualad was talented, and that he should stop wasting his time with good. You could read that easily as a father/son conversation.

0.0 I did not notice that. I'm going to have to watch it again now.

XD Yeah, It's a joke on the last names. Paul McCartney a singer for the beatles and Jesse McCartney a singer...you know cause they have the same last names...anyone...anyone, no? Yeah okay >_>
But as one guy pointed out on Toonzone, "Yeah, thats the thing. He should have been able to handle it himself but his head wasn't in the game."Aqualad should have been able to do that. He's already shown in previous fight sequences that he's capable of electrocuting people with his... um... power-generated weapons, I guess they are. Maybe he didn't because he wasn't paying enough attention, and that's how Batman knew he needed to speak with him?

XD Whenever I play Final Fantasy Dissidia and I head Tidus' voice I can't help but hear Green Arrow (both played by James Arnold Taylor) XDlol i was happy about him voicing robin because im use to hearing his voice from playing kingdom hearts... lol but he is doing a ok job so far imo
Re: Episode 8: Downtime
Awesome. Glad that someone agrees with me. (And that some else also puts the thought into a kid's show.)

I am confused as to why Dick is so upset about Batman talking to Batman alone? :3
