Re: Young Justice Action Figures
Ugh. Okay, Shamar, honestly you're the hardest member to get to follow the rules here.
One, I'd appreciate it if you can actually put a suitable title for this topic, because this is definitely not a thread you intend for people to talk about how Joker is much crazier than Lex Luthor, despite the title "Villain Discussion".
Two, you're talking about action figures while this section is "Character Discussions". Makes sense? Not at all.
It took time to set up this forum and get everything nice and clean, I don't want anyone to mess up with that. I'm sorry but I'm gonna have to strike you (and if you don't know what it means, obviously you haven't read the rules) and if you want to post new topics, you're going to send it over to me first - Twitter is fine - and I'll decide for you what the title should be and where it belongs.
This is also a warning for others. Don't mess up the forum and make it look unorganized. Put topics where they belong and put up suitable titles.
If this were to be a "Villain Discussion" thread I would also say no - that'd be too many posts in one thread. I expect one thread per character for this section, please.
I'll have this re-organized soon. But you guys need to be organized too, okay? I don't want this place looking all cluttered and messy. Thank you.

Re: Young Justice Action Figures
We have in the picture Robin with his Father-figure Batman, Superboy with his Father Superboy, Aqualad with his Biological father Black Manta and Kid Flash with....Captain Cold?!? I'm totally getting the wrong idea here, though I doubt KF and Captain Cold are related. xDDDDD
Shamar, do you mean....Ra's Al Ghul? :3

Re: Young Justice Action Figures
lol yeah it was weird that they had captain cold instead of flash but i guess they needed more bad guys! but i think cherishe would have been better! and yeah that was the name! oh and do you know who the big guy in the red and black is? i cant figure it out lol
Re: Young Justice Action Figures
I know who he is but I can't remeber his name.
Really? Mc Donalds? Cartoon Network-you have stooped to a new low. Teen Titans had more gusto than this, they never had a Mc Donalds toy line(Subway instead). And that was a KID show, Young Justice is for teens and there trying to promote a violent show to minors? Glob, will some please create order in this screwed up world?

Re: Young Justice Action Figures
Ha, I honestly don't think of it as too big of a deal.
This also comes from the kid who used to wander comic book shops when she was two. My dad ALWAYS had a lot of superhero action figures and figurines, a few collectible statues of his absolute favourite as well. I grew up with superheroes and G.I. Joe's instead of barbies or whatever the girls played with. I'm not lying, I'm not joking about my childhood. we were very good friends with the people who worked at that shop and comic book heroes were all very well known in my household, even before most of them had tv shows or movies about them.
Personally, I don't think it matters what kind of toys your child has if he/she doesn't have a good parent to instruct him/her through life. I've seen the way some children play with their build-a-bears....not pretty. >.>
McDonalds is a HUGE corporation. The fact that they chose to use Young Justice over any other toy is pretty special, I think. Besides, whether the toy is featured at Burger King, Subway, McDonalds or Taco Bell, it doesn't change the fact that it's still aimed for children.

I really have to disagree with this statement. Adamantly disagree. Passionately, fervently, keenly disagree.
I assume only Teens eat subway? Nah, it's just a marketing scheme. I doubt
The show is meant for 10 and up. But it can be enjoyed by veritably all ages. And I think that is what defines a good show. Batman the Animated Series dealt with adult issues such as drugs, sex, murder, politics, and violence but it's still child friendly. Amazing isn't it? Bruce Timm and Paul Dini can really do wonders.
And I believe it's good to show super hero shows to kids that promote violence. Think about it; if kids know that there is a definite evil and good prevails over it it teaches them good values. Kids need heroes to look up to, and a lot of kids not only look up to adults, but to teens as well. Why do you think so many comics try to promote teenagers? Cause when you're really young you look forward to being a teen. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teen Titans, things like that. So I mean YEAH, I would promote a violent show to minors cause it's good for those panzy, treehugging, hippie, weaklings called 10 year old boys. Really, if parents can't tell them to man up, super heroes should.
Young Justice does the same. I'd say that Young Justice actually has a lot more stones than other cartoons these days.
And by God Jovial I can kiss you. You make such valid awesome points.. and your signature is drawn by Dustin Nguyen. That's just totally freaking awesome. We should talk over a coffee or something. Kids should still be in a treehouse with a stack of comic books super heroes and action figures. Instead there's Xbox live...

Here's what Greg said about the action figures:

I was laughing when I read that, because I said the SAME thing!! I found it funny everyone had a father of some sort, and then Kid Flash and Captain Cold... xDDD

Guess who got BTBATB action figures from McDonalds back in the Usa this summer XD
I probably looked soooo stupid buying a happy meal. Ah well, at least now I've got my plastic Batman and cardboard batarang.
Re: Young Justice Action Figures
I have that too! See, that's what you use a six year old sister for. Push her over to the counter and have her beg for a happy meal in front of mom so she would buy and I get the Batman. :3
Re: Young Justice Action Figures
LOL XD To bad my brothers a little to old for that trick to work. And I just had to go back and get a second one. Now I got Joker with the built in squirt gun XD
