Miss Martian

Must...resist...urge to compare with Starfire... >_> Anyway, I never thought in a million years that I would see Miss Martian in animation. But then, theres a lot of things I never thought I'd see. Loved her in the Tiny Titans comics XD so I'm excited to see what role she plays on the team. What do you guys think?

Wait how can you possibly compare her with Starfire??

i really like her character but in the beginning i was worried because of the whole cookies thing and then i started thinking wow this girl acts like shes from the 70s lol but then as the show went on i liked her more and more and then there was the moment when i thought she killed that guy my mouth dropped i was like wow i thought superboy would be the one to go to far lol SN I loved how robin responded to when he thought she killed that guy...

ok back to miss m im hoping she grows out of her shell more and i can see that happening in a number of ways one of those ways being artemis..

I like the character o_o though I don't like her catch phrase.

I think Miss Martian is pretty cute, I don't have any problems with her at all. I don't see very many similarities between her and Starfire either. Miss M seems to have been studying a lot on our "Earth Culture", something Starfire never really did. Star usually needed people to explain a lot of things to her, Miss Martian is picking things up a lot easier. I'm not trying to diss Starfire in any way, I love the character. I'm just stating my oppinion.

As for the cookies and the 70's feel, I honestly expected that. It seems as though the T.V. shows she got her info from were like, "I Love Lucy", "The Brady Bunch" maybe even "Gilligan's Island", all the old classic shows. That would explain her civilian clothes and a bit of her personality.

Well if we're going to compare her with Star, I'll say J'onn had been on Earth for quite a while and she gets the knowledge that he gets to pick up. Meanwhile, Star crash landed on Earth with no idea about anything or anyone there. Makes sense that Megan is "picking things up a lot more easier".

You know, we really shouldn't bring Starfire in this. You don't want me to rant. You really don't.

ANYWAY Megan was nice and sweet but kinda overdoing it. I think bits of everything in the first moments of the series are overdone. :l

I was trying not to disrespect Kori in any way. I know that she was basically just "thrown" into our culture and had not the oppurtunities that M'gann did to study before-hand. I guess I didn't explain myself as clear as I should/could have.

Megan's oversweetness is just her trying to make a good first impression(though it seems to be having a negative effect on most viewers. xDD). As a character, she should seem more natural as she spends more time with the team. After all, she's still a newb at...well everything.

Yeah, in the cavern thing-y it was very out of place, actually I honestly didn't like that whole segment, it seemed very weird to me...like their almost trying to push how great AL is. Don't get me wrong, I like him fine but the leader debate irked me for some reason. At least we know Aqualad is sort of just a place-holder until Robin matures a bit.

Random but after seeing miss martian in her stealth suit i cant help thinking that it would be better if she wore that all the time instead of her current hero costume but then again its not that big of a problem lol

Yeah-the stealth suit works better. I like this character(NOT the catchphrase). She has alot of potentail. The thing I just don't get is why make her into a green marshain? I would have loved to see her all gloomly like Raven because she is a white marshain(the race of violent Marshains that killed off the green) and she doesnt want to hurt anyone because of the monster she is inside...that just my opinion. It would make more sense if they switched the personalitys between Artemis and her(Artemis should be the preepy one who became a superhero because she thought it was cool). But, any ways, thats just my opinion.

if its the same artemis i mean it would make sence because he did appear in an earlier episode and she was in a issue of young justice(24) but we will have to wait and see lol and honestly i think she could be a white martian because her bio does say she hides her true self!! but idk lol we will have to wait and see i guess lol and i think she will grow out of her shell a lot more since artemis is in the picture lol

Marshain Manhunter is a green martain and hes her uncle. Plus i doubt that he would check on a white marshain that killed off his race. Artemis is green arrows niece and i don't belive that hes related to sportsmaster.

yeah that is true but i still think something seems fishy about the green arrows niece thing i dont know im going to hold on to the whole sportsmaster idea because it does say she has a mysterious past or was it dangerous past? idk lol i forgot which one

I distinicly remember a dark past. But anyway, I am looking forward to buying the comic on friday.

I need to see Ms. Martian developing in character. Otherwise, I'm not sure how I feel about her right now. >_>

I enjoy her character. Not all superheroes have to brood and angst :b She's like Wasp from Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes in my opinion. And she did say she had like 12 sisters back on Mars XD I wonder if we'll delve deeper into that?
